Celebrating our 2013 Season: Tonight!
Chamber Music by the Bay was so excited to have a surprise artist in our audience at the Saratoga Library this morning! We were joined by Bay Area artist Keiko O’Leary and her family for the morning as we performed and shared excerpts of quartets by Haydn and Bartok. As we focused on learning to be active listeners & interpreters of music, especially Bartok, Keiko drew these beautiful sketches of the whole quartet! Here is her drawing of CMB violinist Alex Shiozaki, and for all of us who know him/have seen him, it’s unmistakably him! Thank you, Keiko, for joining us this morning!
Don’t forget to join us this evening at the McAfee Center at Saratoga High School (20300 Herriman Avenue, Saratoga) to celebrate our final concert! Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students, and all ticket proceeds will go toward expanding CMB programs for youth in school districts of need in San Jose, Oakland, and Berkeley in 2014.
Lastly, find us on Facebook for more regular updates, photos, and discussions! We’d love to hear from you and to keep in touch between our seasons in the Bay Area!
