Chamber Music by the Bay aims to foster teamwork, communication, artistic expression, and creative thinking between professional musicians, youth, and communities by bringing chamber music performances and educational programs to pre K-12 schools, libraries, and hospitals throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Founded in 2012 by violist Jessica Chang through generous support from the Saratoga Music Boosters and a Community Artists Program grant from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Chamber Music by the Bay (CMB) was established with the core belief that many of life’s most important lessons are learned through experiencing chamber music. Through its performances in the community, CMB reaches thousands of students and community members of all ages annually.
CMB celebrates its tenth season in 2023 — please reach out if you’d like to host a program at your school, local library, or within your community, and be sure to check out our calendar for our season events. We hope to see you there!
