Chamber Music by the Bay aims to foster teamwork, communication, artistic expression, and creative thinking between professional musicians, youth, and communities by bringing chamber music performances and educational programs to pre K-12 schools, libraries, and hospitals throughout the Bay Area.
Founded in 2012 by violist Jessica Chang through generous support from the Saratoga Music Boosters and a Community Artists Program grant from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Chamber Music by the Bay (CMB) was established with the core belief that many of life’s most important lessons are learned through experiencing chamber music. Through its performances in the community, CMB reaches over 1,600 students and community members of all ages annually.
CMB celebrated its 5th season in April 2016 and continues to expand its circle of school, hospital, and community partnerships around the San Francisco Bay Area! CMB’s 6th annual season runs from April 24 – May 4, 2017– be sure to check out our calendar for our upcoming events. We hope to see you there!
