And it’s a wrap! Chamber Music by the Bay celebrated its 8th season last week with visits to more than a dozen pre K – 12 schools, libraries, and community spaces, and performed for over 2,000 young audience members. Chamber Music by the Bay is turning five in 2016! We’re preparing a few special things for our fifth year and can’t wait to share them with you soon. In the meanwhile, save the date from April 17-23, 2016 for our Fifth Season. We’re so excited for you to join us at a school, library, or community concert near you.

We’re so excited to kick off CMB’s 2015 season tomorrow with a visit to One World Montessori Preschools as well as our newest partnership school, Washington Open Elementary in Santa Clara. We’re ready with All Ears In!, as well as our Inspiration Station to learn more about composition together with Daniel Temkin. CMB’s 2015 season is just three weeks away, and we’re so excited to share All Ears In! with our community! Our program, geared for children ages 10 and under, will feature Daniel Temkin, our 2015 Composer-in-Residence, and CMB’s quartet of teaching artists, who will lead the audience in an interactive, real-time process of creating a musical piece for string quartet! We’ll learn about composition basics, including elements such as tempo, gesture, and dynamics, and then hear the world premiere of our work.
