After 3 months of planning, Chamber Music by the Bay is off and running!

We had our first performance tonight at the Chung Tai Zen Center of Sunnyvale, where we were privileged to work with the incredible students in the AWESOME class! It was the perfect place to hold our first-ever event. All the students, even the youngest, were incredibly focused, and we were impressed by their observations, characters, and stories in an exercise where students were asked to close their eyes and visualize the music of Dvorak and Haydn. Perhaps Alex, Zenas, Tobin, and Jess can incorporate some of the students’ ideas into their next rehearsal! We hope to see many of the students and their families again soon.

Looking forward to playing at the Saratoga Library tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon at 2pm, after which we’ll dive into the Mendelssohn Octet with the students at Lynbrook High– we can’t wait!
